What’s the cheapest cell phone to get?

Can anyone tell me what the cheapest cell phone to get with rollover minutes?

Also, are there any ways to stop the GPS tracker on the phone? Maybe wrapped in aluminum foil because some people tell me that is how they keep their phones from being tracked and they rub their Driver’s License with I think, with a magnet or aluminum foil.

Sort of like the aluminum card holder they sell now.

$10 every 3 months for pageplus

Roll over or $80 for 2,000 minutes for a year. Turn off the phone and it won’t be tracked you may want to look at prepaid options for phones that arnt linked to your name, second if you dont want it to be tracked dont use a cell phone, if you manage to put enough aluminum foil to stop the gps then it will also cause issue for your cellular signal, rule of thumb-if you can use it to communicate people with the know how can find it. If your worried about big brother then try to stay away from technology, including computers lol, everytime you do something it gives away your ip address, its also in every email you send. you hae to ask yourself though, if your not doing anything wrong, then who cares?

Problem with cell phone call back number

My cell phone call back number seems odd

Owned a Tracfone, it wasn’t working well so I bought another one, though this is different brand

New one, when I see someone has left me a message I push the button that’s marked ‘connect’ and it shows it’s dialing a number that’s my area code, but not my number, then I hear my messages

Last phone I recently had, I’d do that and it’d show it was dialing MY cell phone number

I tried calling this number directly and it says ‘you have no messages’ as right now I don’t

Why does my cell phone show/use a number that is not my number for me to access my messages?

Thanks

There is more than one way to access your voice mail.

If you dial the number shown on your phone that is not ‘your number’ from a landline it will directly go to your voice mail.

I often see an incoming long distance call displayed with a local number on the ID. Calling this number requires you to enter a passcode to access the number displayed.

Such things our modern lives and activities bring about eventually to us all…..

If you dial your number from a land line it will call your phone.

Depending on the software installed on your phone, it could call either.

In ‘contacts’ you should find yourself, and voice mail. You can probably merge the two.

Cell Phone Internet Access

Cell phone internet???

The phone I’m looking at says 3g and 4g compatible, but it also says wifi enabled.

Am I correct in assuming that I can use the phone for internet access as long as I am in range of appropriate cell towers?

Not all phones have enough processing capability to interpret the GPS signal themselves. Instead they, record the signal from the multiple satellites required to get a position, and send it to the cell tower. Computers run by the service provider use that data to calculate the position and pass it along to the e911 system, but not necessarily to the phone.

I believe, but I’m afraid I can’t confirm, most smart phones can interpret GPS signals entirely on their own. However, you may not be able to see your position on a map if the mapping application on your phone has to download maps to display them, like Google maps does. On the other hand, some mapping applications store maps permanently on the phone.
